The NAFAA is working to promote the sustainable development of the fisheries sector in Liberia, balancing the needs of ecosystem health, food security, economic growth and social development within a framework of good governance.
This website is intended to provide visitors with all relevant information regarding fisheries in the Republic of Liberia. The governance structures, details of each sector, licensing requirements, import and export requirements, partners, statistics, news, and events are all available. Documents, including license application forms, the Liberia Fisheries Regulations of 2010, and other relevant materials can be directly downloaded.
Combatting illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing at the national, regional and international levels is a priority for Liberia. In the interest of transparency and information sharing a complete list of all industrial fishing vessels licensed to fish in Liberian waters is made publically available here. Any vessel not on this list can be considered to be engaged in illegal fishing activities. Please find the link in the right column of this website. We hope that you find this website and its information useful. For further information and enquiries please contact us.
